Ballots mailed May 2nd!

Hi, I'm Angela, and I'm running for Medford School Board to bring stability, leadership, and a focus on student success back to our schools.

 

The Medford School District is in turmoil. Board members are caught up in ongoing disputes, investigations, and personal conflicts. The superintendent has resigned. Instead of working together to improve education, district leaders are distracted by infighting. The school board has an incredible responsibility to ensure a safe, quality education for our community's children.  While we may sometimes disagree about the best ways to achieve that, I believe that most of us here in Medford share similar small-town values, and I KNOW we all love our kids. The school board would best serve students if it refocused on top priorities and goals (such as finding and hiring a new superintendent, rebuilding North, closing the budget gap, reading and math scores, and graduation rates).

I would like to put my skills in conflict resolution, managing resources, and bringing people together to good use to better our schools. Parents, teachers, and students need stability - now more than ever. If elected, I will work to restore public trust, keep the board focused, and ensure that the decisions being made represent the best interest of ALL students.
